Everybody is different, every ‘body’ is unique and every body type, perfect. We at Mulmul are all about embracing our women as they are! The trick lies in understanding to highlight the features you find best in yourself. If you have it, why not flaunt it! Chances are, you are unaware of the amazing body you own and the first step in the direction of smart shopping towards building a wardrobe you’d love to wear is to know your assets.
Measure yourself The thing is, you can get an idea of your shape with just a few pointers but to deconstruct the math is a small cost to pay, trust us! Besides diversity can be confusing and some bodies may just align themselves in-between two types. So just to be extra sure:
Shoulders This can be relatively tricky as the tape tends to slip so an extra pair of hands are much recommended. Place the tape on the highest point of your shoulders going from one side to the other covering the broadest part right above your shoulder blades.
Bust Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust. Make sure to be snug enough : for the tape not to slip but not tight enough to compress.
Waist When we say waist, we mean the narrowest part of your waist which is usually right above your belly button and not where your pants sit! Wrap your tape starting at the middle and take it around till it joins the start. Note this down.
Hips Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your hips and butt. remember it is absolutely OK to measure over your clothes given they are thin and don’t add volume to your body that isn’t yours.
What is your Body Shape?
Now that you have your measurements in hand it’s time to break down your body type. We all come in different shapes and sizes but most of us can loosely fit into the 5 categories of universal shapes : pear, rectangle, inverted triangle, hour glass and apple.
Apple Shaped Body Apple shapes tend to have a wider torso and a full bust. If you are top heavy with no defined waistline you most likely are an apple shaped body type!

Inverted Triangle If your shoulders and bust are wider than your hips you fall under the inverted triangle body shape!
Now let’s check the numbers, that is, your hips go in by more than 5% in comparison to shoulders.

Pear Shaped Body If the measurements tell you your hips are wider than your shoulders and you tend to have a defined waistline you are most likely pear shaped! Beneath the tantalizing waist if your hips happen to be more than 5% broader than your shoulders you know where to place yourself.

Rectangle Shape If your bust, hips and shoulders are of fairly uniform measurements and you tend to have a straighter figure without a well-defined waistline you are likely a rectangle body shape.

Hourglass Shape Your shoulders and hips strike a balance and are fairly aligned. You also have a very well defined waistline, if these are what your measurements revealed then you most likely have an hourglass figure.
